If he has a deep playoff run, will not have the option to sign the qualifying offer.
And how is he better off going to a "big market superstar team?" None of those superstar teams have cap space and can only offer a $5.0 mid-level deal. Teams like the Heat can only offer $2.5 million.
He could sign a deal once he comes back, in the $35-40 million range over 5 seasons. Why would Chandler, with his injury history, be willing to take a 4 year deal at $22 million when he could get $35 million over 5? Makes no sense.

Im pretty sure Wilson will return and when Masai goes and visits him he'll be conviced the Nuggets want him back becuase Masai is traveling across the world just to talk to him. How many GM's would go all the way to China just to talk to him? Only Masai. Beside's Masai and chandler have already been talking and this meeting in China will show that the nuggets front office does care about him and that they are willing to go anywhere to get him and workout a deal.
What if the Nuggets somehow ended up re-signing JR Swish too!? Yeah he mite stir up the locker room happines or morale but the nuggets and would be a ball hop but for real Wilson and JR would be even more depth for the nuggets. Would just have to wdaive two players. how bout DCarrol and who else. Im a fan of JHAm and Stone but would rather have stone waived even tho the nuggets neeed stone more than hamilton.
