The Hoopsworld.com article goes into a whole bunch of sourced rumors around the league. Definitely worth a read.

According to HOOPSWORLD.com:

The New Jersey Nets are going nowhere fast, and while there are still lots of games to be played there is a sense that New Jersey is ready to start planning for the offseason.

The Nets have $34 million in salary commitments for next season which includes the final $4 million year on Anthony Morrow and the final $4.25 million Player Option owed to Jordan Farmar.

Both players at one point have been offered to Memphis in exchange for OJ Mayo’s ending contract, and league sources say there is a desire on New Jersey’s part to cash those guys in for ending deals before the trade deadline.

I don't believe it. Everything the Nets do is about getting Dwight Howard. It has NOTHING to do with giving up on the season. Nets are preparing to have Lopez, Howard and DWill on same roster next season - which would mean that if ORL didn't trade Howard, the Magic would get Nothing in return when Howard joined the Nets.

I doubt very much though that Nets would trade Morrow, as Howard likes him.

I think this is the 'tip of the iceberg' to a larger deal. Remember, BK is the 'King' of multi-team deals

Trade for Robin Lopez. He and Brook work fabulously together. Just look at their time together at Stanford, plus what Robin did alone when Brook was out. We are talking about synergy.

Plus the Lopez twins will sell tickets if that is what the Nets want to do. Twins of their caliber on the same team---wow!!

Good idea. The Suns aren't bright enough to see that they ought to play Gortat and Lopez together, like Stoudemire and Lopez. Let's have twin towers!!
