According to from Boston Globe:

Colangelo did not hide his belief that Bosh is not an elite player or franchise cornerstone.

“Even if there was an open market similar to what’s gone on with [Carmelo Anthony] last year and Chris Paul this year and Dwight Howard, he’s not that caliber of player,’’ the general manager said. “It’s just that simple.

“I never had an opportunity to move him for the kind of haul that some of these other deals are producing. But for us to end up with a couple of first-round picks, it was a nice way to segue toward the future.

I think he is really bitter of what happened..Why would he offer him the maximum before Bosh went to Miami if Bryan thought that he is not a franchise player..

Bosh is no different than Joe Johnson. An All-Star and a top 25 players but nothing more. As stupid as BC he is nailed this one on the head. Two 1st round picks for him was a could haul.

Now if we could get a couple for Colangelo, the franchise would be going somewhere!

^^ then why is he saying this after he tried his very best to sign Bosh to stay in Toronto...BC also scramble to sign and also trades that FAILED to make Bosh stay in Toronto...(Jermaine, Matrix, Hedo) Ironically he was a victim of Pat Riley because all BC's trade with Miami lead to Miami's salary flexibility last year... Bosh might not be as dominant like DHO or CP3, but Bosh gave his efforts and numbers when he was still with the Raptors.BC can say this because Bosh's stats right now was not as good when he was with the Raptors. Bosh is a 3rd option in Miami for god sake...Cummon now BC move on..It's been a year, Raptors were doing fine right now...

He's not an elite player, but still a very good one, the reason he tried to resign him is obvious, look at the Raptors pre and post Bosh, they needed him for relevancy, just because he's a very good player does not mean he's elite.

OK he is not an elite player, but BC should shut up now and move on. He should blame himself of not trying to give Bosh support..BC fired Sam Mitchell and took a cheap Jay Triano...(I remember there are lots of good coaches available then, Carlisle was available). Then he tried to implement PHX offense and trade TJ Ford and hibbert for an old JO. Of corz he wont accept his mistakes(not to mention all his FA signings), but blame Bosh for leaving as a FA...I even remember BC calling Bosh checking out from the Raptors in his last games or so.Ironically it was after Dan gilbert call out LBJ..Move on bitch,, Bosh gave you an Executive of the Year award....
