The NBA is set to become the first major North American professional sports league to allow advertisements on player uniforms. The concept has gained steam around league circles over the last few years. During the Board of Governors meeting today in Las Vegas, the topic was discussed in earnest. NBA deputy commissioner Adam Silver admitted that the new sponsorship is likely to go into effect for the 2013-14 season.
